Projects - Roof

The Church, and roof, was largely rebuilt in 1852, during the incumbency of Canon Hugh Pearson. In the intervening 152 years, the tiles had gradually deteriorated.

In 2006, the roof was retiled. 150,000 tiles were replaced and other work to the underlying structure was also undertaken. We hope, thanks to your help, that the roof will last another 150 years.

Projected costs of these repairs were £127,000 which was raised thanks to the local community. The Friends continue to working tirelessly to raise the funds for future proects.
